Ranch style home plans

Ranch style homes are one story with an open floor plan. Their layouts are typically simple and non-cluttered. Ranch style homes usually have a low-pitched gable roof and deep-set eaves. They are symmetrical, mirroring designs like rectangular, L-shaped, or U-shaped. They usually have large picture windows and typically include a glass sliding door leading to a patio or deck area.

Ranch style homes are common throughout the United States, with several customizable variations. A “raised ranch” and “split-level ranch” are two-story ranches, and a “contemporary ranch” combines aspects of Mediterranean and colonial homes to add style and complexity.
